SKY Perfect JSAT is the largest satellite operator in Asia and the leading satellite pay TV provider in Japan. Our business includes leasing satellite capacity and the provision of maritime and aeronautical communications. We also provide a range of occasional use services and facilities available to international broadcast and corporate clients.

Our experience in content creation and delivery, combined with our extensive facilities and network infrastructure, allows us to provide transmission and production solutions both within Japan and throughout Asia. For live sports, live music, corporate and medical events we are uniquely positioned to support international clients with broadcast projects in Asia.

Our teleports located in eastern and western Japan, offer a total of 16 available 4.5 M TVRO antennas with 1 motion antenna at each facility. Both teleports have a fibre connection to our Tokyo Media Centre that in turn is connected to all Japan’s major fibre carriers. We are therefore able to provide TVRO from any uplink to an Asian satellite allowing content to be turned onto our fibre network and delivered to the US, Europe or other parts of the world.

Within Japan, we are also able to provide C Band Uplinks from our fixed earth stations and KU-Band uplinks from SNGs.

At the centre of our network is our Tokyo Media Centre. In addition to connectivity, services that TMC is able to provide, include ingest, archiving, graphics, clipping, provision of highlight packages, streaming and transfer onto OTT or VOD platforms. TMC is also able to offer broadcast studios, edit suites and off tube commentary facilities.

NATURAL DISASTER COUNTERMEASURES

• The building incorporates a seismic isolation structure designed to withstand an earth quake of 7.0 on the Japanese intensity scale.
• The building foundations are constructed of 55 steel pipe piles embedded 51.5 meters below ground level.
• To mitigate potential damage caused by tremors, the steel pipe piles rest on high-suppression oil dampers.
• In conjunction with other counter-measures to prevent liquefaction and flooding, TMC provides a robust structure to ensure the safety of the occupants of the building and the continuation of services even in the event of a severe natural disaster.

C BAND / KU BAND UPLINKS

We are able to provide C-band uplinks from our fixed earth station at Ibaraki to the following satellites: Asia Sat 5, JCSAT-3A and JCSAT-2B.

We are also able to supply KU Band uplinks through our partners. Available satellites include IS 19, Asia Sat 5, SES 12, Horizons - 3E and Superbird C-2.
