Introducing the Southeast Asia Education Support Project

We launched this project in 2014 based on the philosophy of “utilizing the Group’s resources to provide educational opportunities to children in Southeast Asia.” We would like to introduce our efforts to date.

Cambodia

2023

With the help of “Likes” to our social media account from the general public, we delivered sports equipment to children.

2021

We donated items such as soccer equipment and stationery through cooperation from the German football league Bundesliga, a partner of SKY PerfecTV!.

2020

Through the World Terakoya Movement run by the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan, we opened the first “SKY Perfect JSAT School” in Snuol Commune, Kralanh District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia.

From 2015 to present

In support of the World Terakoya Movement run by the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan, we are collecting and donating miswritten postcards, unused stamps, prepaid cards, etc., from within the company. Furthermore, by broadcasting a commercial on SKY PerfecTV! for the Terakoya Movement, we are donating funds to schools in Cambodia through cooperation from SKY PerfecTV! subscribers.

Myanmar

2017 to 2021

We cooperated with the Myanmar telecommunication carrier South　East Asia Net Technologies Myanmar Co., Ltd. (SEANET) and used our satellite communications to provide remote training programs for teachers at schools run by the educational organization Monastic Education Development Group.

Indonesia

2014 to 2020

We used our satellite communications to provide internet connection to schools in remote islands and remote areas. These schools are operated by the LIPPO Group, an Indonesian information and telecommunication carrier, and YPPH, a private foundation run by the founder of the LIPPO Group.
