In recent years, technological advancements and growing environmental awareness have led to a rapid increase in how businesses operate, with a focus on sustainability.
SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation has digitized its monthly print newsletter to meet the needs of customers in a digital society. This initiative allows us to make effective use of our time and resources, provide timely and substantial content and strengthen customer contact points. In addition, we have reduced CO2 emissions associated with the production and delivery of paper, which has led to consideration for the global environment.

Our Monthly Newsletter "Living with SKY PerfecTV!"

SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation has provided customers with a free copy of the monthly newsletter "Living with SKY PerfecTV!" as a booklet that allows them to discover new programs while having fun reading.

With the January 2024 issue, we have ended the publication of the monthly newsletter. Going forward, we will deliver information on featured programs and performer interview articles by email as well as our official LINE every month.

We are now delivering information digitally.

In the email, we are introducing the recommended programs of the month as feature articles according to the theme of the season. You can check out a large number of shows across channels and genres.

We also offer in-depth articles, including columns and interviews with performers, where recommenders provide their perspectives on a variety of programs such as movies, sports, domestic dramas, foreign dramas, music, anime, and documentaries.

If you don't have an email address, you can register as a LINE friend and we will deliver information.

Benefits of digitalization

Digitalization has enabled us to provide up-to-date information quickly and effectively, allowing us to make better use of our time and resources. For example, we can deliver interviews and other content that could not be published due to paper limitations, and provide our customers with the most up-to-date and substantial information.

In addition, the use of tablets and smartphones has increased the number of opportunities for many people to check information anytime, anywhere, regardless of location or time. As a result, we can grasp which articles are read and how much, analyze the email open rate and the number of accesses, and disseminate information that meets the needs of our customers. In the future, we will analyze customer preferences and behaviors and provide highly immediate, information tailored to each individual, such as providing the most appropriate content and information at the right time.

Reduction of CO2 emissions due to the termination of the newsletter

The digitalization of communication makes it possible for customers to access information anytime, anywhere, improving usability and making it environmentally friendly.

By digitally delivering information that was previously produced and delivered on paper as a newsletter through customers' e-mail addresses and LINE, we will reduce the number of A4 sheets per year by approximately 85 million sheets and reduce CO2 emissions from production and delivery by approximately 570 tons. This is equivalent to about 1/4 of the size of Tokyo Dome.

We have set "Contributing to the environment for the realization of a decarbonized society and a circular economy" as a materiality theme, and we are promoting environmentally friendly initiatives.

The Group has formulated a transition plan for decarbonization in order to achieve carbon neutrality, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero as a whole. We have advanced our target for Scope 1 and 2 emissions from 2030 to the end of FY2025.
