CONTENT DISTRIBUTION & CREATION

Since 2008, SKY Perfect JSAT has operated the SKY PerfecTV! Network from our Tokyo Media Center (TMC).

With approximately 3 million subscribers, SKY PerfecTV! provides more that 100 HD TV channels and 150 audio channels and is therefore Japan’s largest multi-channel satellite DTH platform.

Located close to the centre of Tokyo, TMC houses an extensive Network Operations Center, Play-out and in-House Production facilities. Combined with satellite, connectivity with all Japan’s main fiber carriers makes the facility a major Asian network hub. As well as connectivity services that TMC can offer include ingest, archiving, graphics, clipping, provision of highlight packages, streaming, transfer or content onto OTT or VOD platforms. Studios, edit suites and commentary facilities are also available to international broadcasters working on projects in Japan.

• 525 X 525 IP matrix router. Supports IP and HD or UHD SDI baseband.
• Multi-format signal format conversion. IP-VR system controlled by an application on a redundant Linux server that can be connected with domestic and international networks.
• FS, signal level, video and audio delay adjustment.
• Satellite C-Band uplink through connectivity to SPE (our teleport located in eastern Japan.).
• Fibre Connectivity with all Japan’s main carriers: NTT; KDDI; SoftBank; Nexion

There are 3 Broadcast Studios within the Sky Perfect JSAT Tokyo Media Centre (TMC).
( 1 x 4K studio and 2 x HD studios.)
- Each studio is equipped with a Sub-Control room.
- Each control room is connected with both the TMC Network Operations Center and Play-out Facilities.
- Through TMC’s fiber, satellite and OTT connectivity, broadcasters using these facilities, will be able to deliver live programming to any destination in the world.
