The Sky Perfect JSAT Group has established the SKY Perfect JSAT Group Supplier Sustainability Guidelines as its policy on respect for human rights, anti-corruption and the environment, with the aim of fulfilling its social responsibility throughout the supply chain of service provision.

Sustainable Procurement Survey

To enhance awareness of the SKY Perfect JSAT Group Supplier Sustainability Guidelines and to assess and evaluate supplier efforts, we are conducting sustainability procurement surveys for our major trading partners.

Initiatives for Human Rights

Respect for Human Rights

Our group has long been committed to respecting human rights. In October 2023, we established the Group Human Rights Policy to fulfill our responsibility to respect the fundamental human rights of all stakeholders, not just our company.
As stated in the Group Human Rights Policy, our Group supports and respects international norms related to human rights, such as the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's (ILO) ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and conducts its business activities in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. In addition, we prohibit discrimination based on nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, creed, social status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, etc., and do not tolerate forced labor, overwork, low-wage labor, child labor, harassment, bullying, or unfair treatment of employees.
We recognize the importance of respecting human rights and will implement initiatives as necessary.

Governance System

The SKY Perfect JSAT Group discusses and implements human rights-related evaluations and action plans in collaboration with relevant internal departments, led by the Corporate Planning Department, which is the secretariat of the Sustainability Committee. The progress of this report is reported to the Sustainability Committee, which is chaired by the person in charge of business management, and is approved after discussions by the committee. Based on the SKY Perfect JSAT Group Human Rights Policy, we will implement various measures to promote respect for human rights and promote efforts to respect human rights throughout the Group.

Human Rights Due Diligence

The SKY Perfect JSAT Group is promoting human rights due diligence initiatives in order to fulfill its responsibility to respect human rights in promoting its business activities. In FY2024, we identified important human rights risks in the business activities and value chain of SKY Perfect JSAT Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SKY Perfect JSAT") through the following response steps.

1. Identification of potential human rights risks

Based on industry trends at SKY Perfect JSAT and SKY Perfect JSAT's business partners, the materials and products we handle, and the countries and regions in which we operate, we have identified human rights risks that may be related to SKY Perfect JSAT.

2. Questionnaires and interviews with stakeholders

We conducted questionnaire surveys and interviews with business partners in the media business that are assumed to have high potential human rights risks.

3. Importance Rating

Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews with stakeholders, we assessed the importance of each human rights risk based on the severity of potential human rights risks becoming apparent and the likelihood of human rights risks occurring in SKY Perfect JSAT's business activities and value chain.

4. Identification of important human rights risks

Based on the results of the materiality assessment, the Sustainability Committee identified important human rights risks for SKY Perfect JSAT.

In addition to the above, we recognize forced labor and child labor as risks that should be closely monitored upstream of the value chain, and we will consider addressing them in conjunction with important human rights risks.

In the future, we will consider and implement countermeasures to mitigate risks in order to prevent and mitigate the negative impacts of identified risks.

Group Compliance Helpline (Relief Initiatives)

We have establishied a system, Group Compliance Helpline, to enable employees to promptly report and consult anonymously to the internal contact point where employees respond to the discovery of a violation of laws and regulations, or a suspected violation of internal rules, including discrimination or harassment, or to the external contact point established by specialized contractors and external lawyers.

In-house education and training

Since the enactment of the Human Rights Policy in 2023, the Group has regularly conducted training for officers and employees on the Group's thoughts and initiatives on respecting human rights to deepen their understanding of human rights.
