In partnership among NTT WE Marine, JRC and SKY Perfect JSAT, KIZUNA has been using “OceanBB” service with speeds up 2Mbps for its onboard internet access since 2017. As remote-work and web-conferencing becoming the new-normal on-land, JSATMarine’s s 30Mbps (shore-to-ship) and 3Mbps (ship-to-shore) speed plan was selected for KIZUNA so that its crew can work similarly and take advantage of communication tools.
