SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & Chief Executive Officer: Eiichi Yonekura; "SKY Perfect JSAT"), NTT World Engineering Marine Corporation (Head Office: Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture, CEO & President: Mamoru Watanabe; “NTT WE Marine”) and Japan Radio Co., Ltd. • Cable-Laying Vessel: “KIZUNA”

In partnership among NTT WE Marine, JRC and SKY Perfect JSAT, KIZUNA has been using “OceanBB” service with speeds up 2Mbps for its onboard internet access since 2017. As remote-work and web-conferencing becoming the new-normal on-land, JSATMarine’s s 30Mbps (shore-to-ship) and 3Mbps (ship-to-shore) speed plan was selected for KIZUNA so that its crew can work similarly and take advantage of communication tools. With this significant network upgrade of on-board internet environment, NTT WE Marine expects acceleration in digital transformation and improvement in crew welfare.

NTT WE Marine, JRC and SKY Perfect JSAT will continue to provide connectivity solutions to meet customer needs and strive to deliver the highest standards of maritime broadband services.
