For more than 30 years, our Group has been engaged in the space and media businesses using communications satellites. We have been supporting your safety and security as social infrastructure by securing communications in case of emergencies and bridging the digital divide, while at the same time providing services to enrich your lives by responding to your viewing needs for multi-channel broadcasting.
In Space Business, we not only provide satellite communication services that support social infrastructure, but also focus on providing diverse communication infrastructures to meet changing needs by utilizing our operational experience and assets of satellites and ground facilities. Furthermore, we are expanding our concerns into business intelligence field by utilizing data such as images and positional information obtained from earth observation satellites, and we will further focus on the space business through public-private partnerships. We are also looking to further expand our business both domestically and internationally, such as in response to security issues, which will become even more important in the future.
In Media Business, in order to realize further growth, we are working on new businesses in the FTTH and media solution areas, utilizing our accumulated know-how in addition to our broadcasting and distribution infrastructure. Furthermore, in response to changes and trends in the viewing environment, we have begun to build an advertising distribution platform through Connected TV.
The environment surrounding both businesses is undergoing remarkable changes such as technological innovation. The space business world, which used to be a massive, heavy industry, is now full of dynamic ventures and start-ups, and we are actively promoting collaboration with them. We also look forward to the future development of internal startups such as Orbital Lasers Corporation, which removes space debris, and SKY Perfect Pictures Corporation, which plans and produces content centered on animation, both of which were born from our company.
Under our group mission and sustainability policy, "Space for your Smile," our Group will continue to face all stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, suppliers, and local communities, and to take on the challenge of corporate growth and transformation while keeping an eye on changes in society five to ten years into the future.
