Notice regarding termination of "WAKUWAKU JAPAN"

SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & Chief Executive Officer: Eiichi Yonekura; hereinafter "SKY Perfect JSAT") has decided to cease “WAKUWAKU JAPAN”, a broadcasting and live streaming channel specializing in Japanese content for overseas viewers, as of March 31, 2022.

Since the launch of “WAKUWAKU JAPAN” in 2014, we have expanded our service coverage to a total of 10 countries and regions. However, from the perspective of profitability, we have decided to cease its broadcasting and live streaming in all our operating areas.

SKY Perfect JSAT would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all those partners who have supported "WAKUWAKU JAPAN".
Through a variety of initiatives, we aim to revitalize the domestic content industry in Japan and will also continue to consider new businesses including overseas expansion.
