SKY Perfect JSAT (hereinafter referred to as "SKY Perfect") is working on one of its key themes, "development of local communities and communities," and is engaged in activities to support the education of the next generation using our assets in order to develop human resources for the future generation.

This time, we would like to introduce the Yokohama Satellite Control Center (YSCC) facility tour by second-year students of Jiyugaoka Gakuen High School held in December 2024.
The purpose of the facility tour program for junior high and high school students is to provide the next generation of young people with opportunities to expand their interest in space and their future careers by experiencing satellite communications and Satellite broadcasting work.

On the day of the event, we had an orientation and a tour of the facility by our employees, mainly young YSCC employees.
After giving the high school students an overview of our business, we toured the YSCC facility, and everyone listened intently to the explanations of the employees and toured the facility with interest.

In addition, young employees answered questions from the participants beforehand, and the participants listened with interest to stories such as their majors in college and why they decided to join the company.

YSCC Facility Tour

After the orientation, it's time to visit the actual facility.
During the facility tour, we visited the satellite model, the operation room for satellite line monitoring and services, the outdoor antenna, and the satellite control room. "What is the lifespan of a satellite?" and "How long will this antenna be used?" The event proceeded with quizzes related to satellite and YSCC. In particular, they were surprised by the large antenna and were eager to see it.
