SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Eiichi Yonekura; “SKY Perfect JSAT”) has been awarded a contract for fiscal year 2025 to supply optical Earth observation data from low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites to the Japan Ministry of Defense.

  Under this Contract, SKY Perfect JSAT will deliver observation imagery acquired by optical satellites operating in low Earth orbit continuously and reliably through September 30, 2026. This service will ensure reliable acquisition and utilization of imagery data required by the Ministry of Defense.

Overview of the Contract

  In February 2025, SKY Perfect JSAT decided to own its LEO Earth observation satellite constellation, positioning Earth observation as one of the key pillars of its growth strategy. Moving forward, SKY Perfect JSAT will continue to expand services for government agencies, including the Japan Ministry of Defense, as well as private enterprises, while strengthening collaboration with domestic and international partners.
