Tokyo, Japan, September 18, 2026 – SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (“SKY Perfect JSAT”) today announced that National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has honored the company with a Letter of Appreciation and a Certificate of Recognition for supporting the Artemis II*1 crewed lunar mission. SKY Perfect JSAT was the sole private-sector contributor from Asia to the international tracking support effort. During the mission, the company served as a ground station partner, receiving and measuring one-way Doppler signals*2 transmitted from the Orion spacecraft.

　NASA’s Letter of Appreciation acknowledges an international tracking support effort that brought together more than 34 organizations across 14 countries, including SKY Perfect JSAT. The initiative united commercial providers, academic institutions, and radio enthusiasts worldwide in an unprecedented collaboration to support Artemis II mission. Through this effort, participating organizations successfully tracked the Orion spacecraft, demonstrating that advanced spaceflight tracking capabilities extend well beyond traditional government-operated networks. NASA also noted that the data collected and operational insights gained through the project will help strengthen future deep-space exploration missions.

　Building on its proven capabilities in satellite communications and ground station operations, SKY Perfect JSAT will continue partnering with space agencies and commercial organizations worldwide to strengthen the infrastructure that supports future space missions.

*1 Artemis II: The first crewed mission of NASA’s Artemis campaign. Orion spacecraft carried four astronauts on an approximately 10‑day flight around the Moon and return to Earth. (For more infomation; see related links below.)

*2 One-way Doppler signals: A technique for estimating a spacecraft’s velocity and orbital parameters by receiving its transmitted radio signals at a ground station and analyzing Doppler frequency shifts. This method supports spacecraft tracking and mission safety.
