SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Eiichi Yonekura; “SKY Perfect JSAT”) is pleased to announce the launch of its near-Earth tracking network service, “JSAT Space Line.”

“JSAT Space Line” is a satellite tracking, telemetry, and control service that leverages SKY Perfect JSAT’s three domestic ground stations located in Hokkaido, Ibaraki, and Okinawa, in coordination with two international ground stations operated by our strategic partner, Kongsberg Satellite Services (Head Office: Tromsø, Kingdom of Norway, “KSAT”). The service supports satellites across low Earth orbit (LEO), geostationary orbit (GEO), and beyond.

This offering was developed for the private sector based on the “Basic Agreement on Private Procurement of Near-Earth Tracking Network Services” signed between SKY Perfect JSAT and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA; Headquarters: Chofu, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Yamakawa) in March 2023. Initially co-developed with KSAT to support JAXA’s operations, the service is now being expanded for broader private-sector use. Now available to commercial clients, “JSAT Space Line” provides reliable, continuous satellite tracking, telemetry, and control operations 24/7/365 through a network of domestic and international ground stations. Clients can flexibly reserve specific stations via a dedicated scheduling system, ensuring tailored support for diverse mission requirements.

Looking ahead, SKY Perfect JSAT plans to gradually expand the service’s coverage to include domestic and international space-related research and development organizations, government agencies, and satellite operators including those managing private satellite missions. This expansion aims to promote global collaboration in satellite tracking and operational support.
